Brownfield 128a Program
The Brownfields 128(a) tribal Response Program is here to protect our environmental and the human health of our tribal and community members from environmental disasters and other emergency situations. We are available 24/7 to respond to chemical spills and disasters with our response trailer. We are constantly looking for illegal dumping and contaminated sites as well as working to help those in our community understand how to keep our homes and families safe from pesticides, contamination and disasters.
Mark Junker, Tribal
Response Coordinator for Sac and Fox Nation of Missouri in KS and NE has been
selected to represent Region 7 and the Nation on the TWRAP steering committee.
This outstanding group of professionals plan the annual ITEP Tribal Lands and
Environment Forum. Last year there were over 500 tribal professionals in
attendance. TWRAP is a program focused on assisting tribes with all waste
management, brownfields, USTs, contaminated sites, and response programs. This
program is funded by the USEPA's Office of Land and Emergency Management.
